Cover Reveal & Giveaway: Hotel O!

Title: Hotel O
Author: Clarissa Wild
Genre: Erotic Romance
Cover Design: Clarissa Wild's Booming Covers
Release Date: May 1, 2018

Blurb

Pleasure is business.
That’s our motto here at Hotel O.
No strings attached gratification is what we provide. Nothing is off limits.
And all of it stays within these walls.
My job as the organizer of these events requires a personal sacrifice.
Girlfriends are a liability I can’t afford.
So I get my own satisfaction somewhere else.
Online.
Anonymous.
Nothing beyond a one-night stand …
And I’ve found the perfect toy to play with.
A persistent, equally wicked girl that I can’t say no to.
The girl who’s going to make me risk it all.

Welcome to Hotel O … Enjoy your stay.

Author’s Note: Hotel O is complete and utter filthiness. Expect lots of debauchery … with multiple people. Please do not read if you’re easily offended or do not enjoy romances that explore the boundaries of depravity … Don’t say I didn’t warn you.

Excerpt 1

“Do you still think of me? Of that night?”
He makes a ‘tsk’ sound but doesn’t say another word. It’s almost as if he’s trying to deflect whatever it is that makes him feel this way.
I inch closer, but he shoves me back against the door and says, “You don’t know what you’ve done. How dangerous this is.”
“Why? Because you’re scared you’ll want me again?” I ask, my tongue dipping out to wet my lips, which he obviously sees because he’s following my every move.
The electricity between us is undeniable. The sparks are almost literally flying through the air. Why won’t he acknowledge that? What is he so afraid of?
“You shouldn’t have come here,” he says through gritted teeth, but he’s still holding onto me, still clenching, refusing to let go. In fact, his face is closer to me than it ever was. Almost close enough … to kiss.
I know he wants to. I can see it in the way his lips part when mine do, how his eyes keep zooming in on every inch of my skin, as though he wants to lick it.
“Remember how much fun we had?” I murmur, teasing him with a hum. The same noise I make when I come. Hard.
“Oh … I remember all right,” he says, his voice strenuous. As if he’s trying his best to maintain his composure.
I lean in, pressing my body against his. “I’m yours if you want … now … whenever … in whatever way you want,” I whisper into his ear.
A few seconds pass, and his whole body tenses. Even between his legs.
“Get out.”
I lean back and say, “You don’t mean that.”
Even though his voice is calm and collected, the cold-hearted look on his face is too sharp, even for him. “Don’t make me say it again,” he sneers. “Before I do something we’ll both regret.”
“I’m not afraid of you,” I reply. “Do it.”
Suddenly, he grabs both my arms and pins me against the door so hard it almost hurts. Almost. But I like the pain. I like it when he gives me everything I shouldn’t want. Everything I shouldn’t crave. Maybe it’s like that for him too.
“You don’t know what you’re asking. Who you’re asking.”
“Then tell me … who are you?” I ask, not backing down. “Someone who makes girls strip in his office? A dirty hotel manager? Is that it?”
He snorts. “You’ve only just scratched the surface. And that’s as far as it’ll go.”

Excerpt 2

Within seconds, the door handle clicks, and I hold my breath in anticipation.
A man in a black suit and a red tie steps in. The door shuts behind him.
My eyes glide over his body and his glide over mine. His face too is hidden behind a mask.
He’s tall and his hair is thick and dark, just like his voice when he says, “Hello Kitten …”
I’m struck in awe at the sound of his voice. It’s real. It’s him.
That same shiver runs up and down my spine as he approaches me slowly.
In a split second, images of violence flash through my mind. All the possible things that could happen. All the things he could do to me.
We’re alone, in a hotel room, and neither of us know each other by name.
He could do anything he wanted.
Take me. Use me. Lock me up.
Kill me.
And no one would ever know it was him.
It’s the perfect setting for the perfect crime.
And yet I’m not afraid of him.
I’m only afraid of my own reactions to what’s about to go down.
Meeting him was the only thing I wanted … and now that it’s finally happening I wonder if it’ll be enough. If I can satiate my needs without crossing the line.
He comes even closer. I don’t move an inch. I don’t know if it’s because I’m scared, or if it’s because my body feels as if it’s made out of rocks and ice.
I shudder when he stands across from the bed, leans against the dresser, and casually slides his eyes from the tips of my toes hidden in black heels all the way up to my high pony tail without any shame.
His tongue dips out to wet his lips, and for a second there I wish he licked mine instead.
He cocks his head. “So … this is what you want.”
I nod and part my lips to say something, but nothing springs to mind. Nothing important … except for the fact that I want him to fuck me raw.

New: Cherished By You, #4 Enflamed Series!

Cherished By You is finally here! Yes, the final installment of the Enflamed Series is done and you can get it right here: http://smarturl.it/cherishedbyyou

Here's a short description: Going off to Japan with her hot and sexy lover Kaito was the last thing Chloe thought she would do, but when she arrives, it’s all she ever dreamed of. Living with Kaito in his luxurious home is something she won’t pass on, but when she discovers he has more secrets up his sleeve, things get pretty exciting … Can she stay with him?

I'll be publishing the boxed set soon too, so you can get all the stories bundled into one ;)

If you're still not convinced to get Cherished By You, here's a little hot excerpt for you:

The door closed behind me and Kaito’s hooded eyes were locked onto me like a huntsman gunning his prey. He sat on a black leather chair behind a chestnut brown desk, papers to the side with a laptop in front of him. It was a tiny, but lavishly decorated office, filled to the brim with calendars, posters, photo’s, boxes filled with promotional material such as stickers, hats, shirts, cups and whatnot.
His eyes shifted back to his laptop screen again and to me it indicated that he was determined on getting his work done. Whatever it was, it could wait. I wasn’t done with him yet.
I walked toward him, but he kept his eyes on the laptop, ignoring the fact that I was standing behind him. I bent over, my breasts on his shoulders, while I gave him seductive little pecks on the neck.
He chuckled. “Oh, Miss Young, you’re quite hard to resist, you know that?”
I scooted his chair back a little and wriggled my way in between him and the desk so he couldn’t see his laptop anymore.
“I know, that’s the point,” I said. I leaned forward and kissed him on the lips.
“But I have to get to work,” he mumbled in between my kisses.
“I promise it won’t take much time,” I replied. My fingers slithered down the white shirt he was wearing underneath his black suit and I could feel every ridge of his bulky pectoral muscles and six-pack. It was so enticing I couldn’t stop myself from slipping my hand further down to his groin. He held in his breath as my hand touched his privates.
“Chloe, please, I can’t,” he muttered, his voice strained. I could tell it was getting harder and harder for him to resist my advances.
“You don’t have to do anything, let me do all the work,” I said. I crouched down onto my knees and pulled the chair closer to me. I was under the desk now and facing his tented pants, his eager to be stroked cock was inside and I wanted it, now.
I zipped open his pants, undid the button, and then jerked down his boxers until his full glory popped out. Once my lips grazed his naked skin, he surrendered to me and I was finally getting my way.
He sank back into the chair and let out a big breath. “You really are unstoppable when you want me, aren’t you?”
“You got that right,” I said. My tongue flicked over the head of his dick and I pulled back his skin a little. He hissed and clenched the armrest. “You do realize we’re not alone, right?”
“Yes, I distinctly remember seeing three other crazy rock stars on this plane, I’m sure they won’t mind if we have some fun.”
He laughed and closed his eyes. “Fun … hmm … yes, this is enjoyable.”
I kissed his hilt and sucked on it all the way to the top, letting my tongue slip past to make it slippery and smooth. When he was slick enough, I opened my mouth and let his cock slide in.
He moaned and bit his lip. I liked seeing him this way, giving him pleasure. It wasn’t just for him. I was getting moist down below and I could feel my heartbeat in my groin.
At first I was slow and careful, slipping my tongue along the sides while dipping his full length further into my mouth. In and out, in and out. In between, I circled his top, letting my tongue flick over the edge of the head. Mmm, so good. He tasted so wonderful. I wanted to please him and hearing him groan made me think I did.
Kaito’s grip on the chair tightened. He sucked in some breaths and his chest quivered. “Chloe, you’re too good for me,” he murmured.

Writing or Marketing

So the last few days I've been super busy trying to get these books off the ground. I've been contacting a few reviewers, posting away on Goodreads, and other websites, trying to snag people to read it.
Marketing is hard work! Since publication (which was 07-07-2013), I've had 290 downloads of book 1, and still only one person bought book 2. However, I'm hoping that, when the reviews are in, book 2 will run better.

I'm still having a hard time balancing between writing and marketing though, because I find myself wanting to sell my books, yet I do need to keep on writing. Sometimes I think 'what's the use? If people aren't going to read it, why bother?' Because the lack of people reading book 2 is discouraging.
Then again, I shouldn't be too hasty to draw my conclusions. I should wait a while before I say 'it's not working'. People always say, "just keep on writing, it'll eventually work out", but I have no idea how. Almost a week has passed and I've yet to see anyone looking at the Kindle book (the one on Amazon).

I wonder what I can do to improve my visibility? I feel like I'm swamped in the midst of all those other erotic romance novels and it makes it impossible for others (like me) to break through. If anyone has any tips for that matter, they're more than welcome!

Anyway, guess that's it for today ;)

xx

Internal Dialog quirkiness

So recently I've been reading and critiquing other people's works in exchange for the same. I often come across mistakes that are cringe-worthy to say the least, but sometimes also find mistakes that are easily looked over, because they're not actually mistakes, but more style problems.

For instance, a writer put his internal dialog in italics, but made it very narrative, instead of real thought patterns coming through on the pages.

Example: Danger alert! Panic mode on.

I know what the writer is trying to do, which is create tension for the reader, but this is not an internal dialog at all. One does not think like that. Do you? Do you think in terms of 'Danger!' and 'Alert' and 'Mode on' in your head? I don't.

Regular thought patterns are usually either questions or judgemental statements. People think in either of these 2 categories:
  • Question (i.e. What is he doing? Why is she here? etc.)
  • (Judgemental/emotionally loaded) statements or ideas (i.e. I don't like this. This is stupid. He looks amazing!)

There isn't actually any other internal dialog going on in your brain apart from those two. Sure, you can talk to yourself in your head, but it still falls into either categories. For example: What should I do today? I could go swimming. No, wait, I hate water. Nevermind. <- now if you read closely, you can see the first is a question, the second is a statement/idea, the latter ones judgmental statements.

In your books, you want your characters to be as close to a regular human as possible, even if they have magical powers. It doesn't matter what they are, but they need to have human thought patterns and human traits and emotions.

Why?
Because people want to relate to your characters. Books don't stick if people can't sympathize with your characters. This is a plain fact, for something to be successful, you need to engage people. So stick to these two categories and you'll be fine on the inner dialog part ;)

Anyway, that's it for today's rambling :)

Kisses!
